Gods also have weaknesses like what Zeus was shown in books 14-17. In book 14, Hera made a plan to make Zeus go to sleep, Zeus having a dream of loving Hera made him gone to sleep. In book 15, when Zeus wakes up he have seen the great destruction that Hera and Poseidon have done so Zeus made an action to give back the favor to the Trojans. Also, when the archer Teucer takes aim at Hector, Zeus had snapped his bowstring. In book 16, Zeus wanted to save his son Sarpedon but Hera told him that the other gods would look down upon him if will do that. Zeus was forced to do so, so Sarpedon was slained by Patroclus. Zeus decides to kill Patroclus for slaying Sarpedon. In book 17, Zeus pitying Hector's impending doom, he give Hector great power and he permeates his team with strength. Zeus gives again the favor to the Trojans.
This shows the weaknesses of Zeus just like a human personalities. He is weak of women, weak to let his offspring die, weak to let his team lose.
